Atlantis Theatre Paradise Island  -  9 PM

The Atlantis Theatre located at Sun International's Atlantis, Paradise Island in the Bahamas provides a fabulous backdrop for the first ever Miss Bahamas Universe Pageant and the crowning of the first Miss Bahamas Universe Queen who will emerge from amongst other Bahamian beauties. The newly renovated $3million dollar Atlantis Theatre was especially redesigned to include theatre-style seating and a modular style stage. In preparation for the Pageant, the newly renovated six thousand square-foot seating area, will be transformed from an intimate theatre, with a capacity to seat 390, to a dynamic theatrical canvas accommodating 550 persons, and a professional catwalk.

The Atlantis theatre also features state-of-the-art lighting with superior digital sound ideal for any show within the scope of entertainment from pageants to musicals and dance revues to movies. Its theme, "Celebrating the Beauty & Power of Women" will be showcased by the choreography and direction of our nation’s top producers, Lawrence and Gabrielle Carroll. Together, they have woven a series of intricate, entertaining spellbinding numbers that will captivate the audience. There will also be performances by Janet Stubbs and the Eurhythmics. Hosts for the incredible event include Carole Barnett, Jerome Sawyer, Gina Rogers and Phyllis Albury-Garraway.

Atlantis, a unique vacation destination featuring 2,300 guest rooms, 38 restaurants, bars and lounges and the largest marine habitat in the world, second only to Mother Nature, and playground to the rich and famous, on Sunday, March 10th, 2002, will become the throne from which the new Miss Bahamas Universes' reign will commence.
