It was always my dream to represent my country at the Miss Universe Pageant.

I would take the next flight availible out to my hometown, Freeport, Grand Bahama to celebrate with family and friends.
WHAT IS THE MOST UNIQUE OR UNUSUAL THING THAT HAS HAPPEN TO YOU IN YOUR LIFE?
Walking through timesquare New York, I found a fifty dollar bill stuck to my shoes.
DO YOU THINK THE SWIMSUIT CONTEST AT BEAUTY PAGEANTS DEGRADES WOMEN?
Not at all. I find it quite necessary.
GIVE AN IDEA OF WHAT YOUR NATIONAL COSTUME WILL BE AND WHAT DOES IT REPRESENTS?
My national costume will depict the Bahamian Sea.
WHAT ARE THE THREE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO AS MISS BAHAMAS 2009?
1. Start a program that helps junior and high school girls to find their self worth and raise their self-esteem.
2. Take my work experience with Hands For Hunger to another level.
3. To become the First Miss Bahamas to grab the title of Miss Universe.
IF YOU HAD TO RESIDE ON ONE OF THE FAMILY ISLANDS IN THE BAHAMAS, WHICH WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
Freeport, Grand Bahama, because it is home and home is deffinately where the heart is.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE COLOR AND WHY?
Black, Eventhough some may say it is the absence of color, I think it is the strongest one and I look amazing in it.

The Bahamas is a Nation of Beautiful people, beaches and heritage. Every year we have our annual New Years and Boxing Day Junkanoo Parades which is the most awe-inspiring, breath taking & heart pounding celebration that you could ever experience on any other countery around the world. It almost never rains and and each island has it's own kind of charm. It is better in The Bahamas. It's my home and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. |
