Born on March 5, 1980 and the first of seven siblings is Raquel Simone Horton.  

I have been given the privilege to enjoy and accomplish many of my childhood aspirations.  I successfully completed my schooling at the Huggy Bear Preschool, Mable Walker Primary and the Government High School.

In 1997, I was an honor roll student at the College of The Bahamas, where I studied Fine Arts.  In 1998, I obtained my Associates Degree in Computer Graphics at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.  In 1999, I also obtained a certificate in Massage Therapy at the Florida College of Natural Health.

My bubbling personality has won over the hearts of many judges.  In 1997, I won first place in the Miss International Bahamas Pageant and first place in Miss Sun Burst International Pageant.  In 1998, I was crowned Miss Teen Bahamas and in 1999 Miss PLP 2000-2001.

Apart from my busy pageant schedule, in years to come I aspire to successfully complete my modeling and pageant career and then to become certified in Natural Sciences.
