Fashion Fair Cosmetics Sponsors Miss Bahamas Universe Pageant

The Miss Bahamas Universe Organization announced today that the official cosmetics for the Miss Bahamas Universe Pageant will be Fashion Fair, the internationally distributed range that was created especially for women of color. Making the announcement was Mr. Doug Gardiner, National Pageant Director of this year's pageant, which will be held as usual at Atlantis on Paradise Island.

Each delegate will receive a generous Fashion Fair gift pack containing all the essentials for a total makeover, and the winner will be awarded a prize of one year's supply of Fashion Fair from The Solomon Group. The full Fashion Fair range is available at Mademoiselle in Marathon Mall, mademoiselle in Madeira Street, Palmdale, Mademoiselle in Port Lucaya, Freeport, Grand Bahama and is also at the Royal Palm Trading Company on Bay Street.

On February 16, 2002, The Royal Palm Trading Company with its very up-market tropical ambience, will host all the delegates at a Fashion Fair makeover clinic where expert cosmeticians will show the delegates exactly how to apply their makeup.

Mr. Solomon, president of The Solomon Group of Companies said today, "we are committed to giving back to our community in various ways, especially to non-profit organizations like Miss Bahamas Universe which offers a unique opportunity for a number of young ladies to expand their horizons and to benefit from what is in many ways a very worthwhile learning experience. This is why we have supported Miss Bahamas since the early 1950's.

Fashion Fair cosmetics was created and developed by Mrs. John Johnson of the Famous Ebony Fashion Show when she could not find cosmetics in shades that blended properly with brown and black complexions. Now that problem is solved and Bahamian ladies of color can stock up at Mademoiselle and at the Royal Palm Trading Company.
