WHY DID YOU JOIN THE MISS BAHAMAS UNIVERSE COMPETITION?
I joined the Miss Bahamas Universe competiton for the experience and valuable lessons taughts by caring professionals that will help me not only in this competition, but in life and future endeavours.Also the opportunity to meet and make good friends.No one can ever say they have enough good friends

IF YOU WERE TO BECOME MISS BAHAMAS 2009, WHAT WOULD BE THE FIRST THING THAT YOU WOULD DO?
WOW! I would be so excited and overcomed with joy. But the first thing i would do is pray,i would fall on my knees and thank God for the opportunity he gave me to use my voice to help effect change in the people but mostly young people of our Bahamaland

WHAT IS THE MOST UNIQUE OR UNUSUAL THING THAT HAS HAPPEN TO YOU IN YOUR LIFE?
A few months ago while on a diving trip i came face to face with a bull-shark,a really big one i may add. Usually i'm not afraid of sharks but this one shark had me so terrified i started breathing real hard not realizing at the time i was low on air.I closed my eyes and just wished the shark would go away and the funny part is when i opened my eyes it was gone. I was so relieved i didn't realize i was out of air and being 82 feet deep in the middle of the ocean, running out of air isn't really a good thing.So i begun to ascend only to notice the higher i went the more air went into my tank,it was really strange and unusual because that never happened before. I later found out my regulater had a leak and the air was really nitrogen not oxygen which means i could have died if i continued inhaling it.

DO YOU THINK THE SWIMSUIT CONTEST AT BEAUTY PAGEANTS DEGRADES WOMEN?
No, i donot think the swimsuit competition degrades woman.Infact i think it helps a woman become more familiar with her body,and helps her the appreciate the beauty of being a woman, flaws and all
GIVE AN IDEA OF WHAT YOUR NATIONAL COSTUME WILL BE AND WHAT DOES IT REPRESENTS?
I'll give you just one clue "SUN". My costume will represent a part of what makes this country so appealing and beautiful to tourist.Also it'll represent the people of this country the warm, friendly, beautiful people that makes my wonderful country what it is

WHAT ARE THE THREE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO AS MISS BAHAMAS 2009?
Firstly i would like to form an organization with the help of the Miss Bahamas Universe Committee and members of the public called 'A POSITIVE SELF'
Secondly visit schools and get the message across that community development is key to ensuring a brighter future for The Bahamas.
Finally i would like to get more involved with our country's development,forming a partnership with the ministry of Culture and the Miss Bahamas Universe Committee where together we can promote our country.

IF YOU HAD TO RESIDE ON ONE OF THE FAMILY ISLANDS IN THE BAHAMAS, WHICH WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
I would live on the island of Cat Island. Cat Island is a magical and adventurous place.The waters are so exquiste and warm and inviting and untouched.Everyone lives on the shoreline in Cat Island it's a dream, and the inside of the island is like one big jungle,so much to explore and do.My kind of place to live.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE COLOR AND WHY?
Red is my favourite color,because red is a vivid,bright color alot like myself.It's bold and beautiful and demands attentions again alot like myself.

TELL VIEWERS A LITTLE ABOUT THE BAHAMAS AND WHY YOU LOVE IT SO!
The Bahamas isn't only about the sun,sand and sea(which by far is the best in the world),it's also about a young independant nation striving for excellence and at the same time staying true to it's unique ways.We have about 700 islands,cays and reefs all special and waiting to be explored.Beautiful nature preserves, lakes, natural inland deep blue holes.I can go on and on listing all the ways to enjoy the Bahamas and what it has to offer.As the popular slogan states It's always better in the Bahamas.I agree 100% not only because i live here and get to experience the many wonders but no matter where i go in the world there will never be any place like home.
